In May of 2013, God called Brother Rick to serve as our Pastor. Over the past thirty
years, he has served three churches in Texas and two churches in Alabama.
He earned his Doctor of Ministry degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Karen, a licensed Occupational Therapist, have two grown sons, Tyler and Evan.
When he’s not busy ministering, Brother Rick enjoys spending time with his family, playing racquet sports, writing, working in the yard, and trying to become a halfway decent pitmaster.
Tripp Dickson has been a life longer member of First Baptist Church, becoming a believer of Christ at the age of 8. In 2010, Tripp’s life was forever changed and renewed by God. He enjoys serving the church and has served on several committees including youth, youth Sunday School teacher and deacon ministries.
He is most excited about his current role as Director of Children’s and Recreation Ministry.
After graduating from Sylacauga High School in 1991, Tripp was recruited to play on the Wallace StateCommunity College Golf Team in Hanceville, AL where he was selected first-team all American by theNJCAA.
Tripp received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Ethics from Mid-America Christian University. He and his wife, Nancy, are the parents of Drew and Ibby. Nancy isemployed at SAFE Family Services Center, Drew is currently a student at Auburn University and Ibby is ahigh school senior who plans to attend the University of Alabama.
